ABOUT US

We are the ‘WATER LITTLE HELPERS.

We are 5 and 6 year old kindergarten students in Mrs. Browder's class at Cora Spencer Elementary School in Mansfield, TX.

The winter storm that hit Texas inspired us to learn more about the water crisis in other countries. Many of us lost electricity, gas, and water - but - it was only temporary.  Our teacher, Mrs. Browder taught us about neighbors in other countries who live with no resources or unsanitary water everyday.

We were inspired to look for ways to create positive change in the world.

We were really saddened to learn that not everyone in the worlds has access to clean water. We talked as a class and decided we want to bring awareness to this issue and help as many as we can to have access to clean water.  We also want to raise awareness of how to be good consumers of resources, conserve, and not be wasteful.

Our class worked with a high school honors class in California this year to learn about each other and inspire each other.  After finally meeting on Zoom, our class was inspired to create a website for our water crisis awareness project.

Almost everything you read on this website is written  by or with students.  Mrs. Browder has taught us about web design, shown us how to build a website, it's easier than we thought!  We learned about domain names, editing, picture selection, and so much more.

Mrs. Browder's kindergarten class is an amazing group of young leaders who have redefined resilience.

The students are learning virtually from home this year and have navigated and overcome a range of challenges from the lack of social interaction and connection to technological challenges.

Each student has a huge heart for others.  The class is full of kind, caring, and innovative young leaders.  The class is a collective group of problem solvers and sees challenges opportunities for solutions.  They organically synthesize collective ideas to arrive at positive compromising that satisfy their ideations.

Mrs. Browder's students want to do their part to make the world a better place and are working diligently to bring others along with them.
